The one thing I don't understand about the theory where Piltover and Zaun are teaming up to fight Noxus in the end, is why are Vi and Ekko flying towards Jinx's supposed airship if they're on the same team? Why does Vi NEED to confront Jinx in the middle of a warzone?

We see Ekko in garb that looks like he's on Jinx's side, but we mostly see him with the Firelights in those scenes, and they not decorated in Jinx's colors. Even minor background characters that are on Jinx/Sevika's side have a pink X on the right side of their chest. The Firelights are completely free of any graffiti or markers that would identify them with Jinx, and Vi is in an enforcer uniform. We don't see any other Zaunites in the crowd, but for some reason Vi and Ekko are centering their concentration on Jinx.

I think what's happening is that Ambessa's forces are fighting against Piltover's enforcers, but Jinx isn't helping, she's taking advantage of the chaos. Jinx is probably in Piltover to do something big that Piltover can't defend against since they're preoccupied with Noxus. Jinx will probably think the fight between Noxus and Piltover is the best opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Vi and Ekko will probably object, they'll say her plan goes too far, and it'll get people killed. The whole scenario will probably be a more extreme mirror to whatever the Silco flashback will reveal about what went down on the Day of Ash and why Vander tried to kill Silco, except this time with magic.

tbh I find Caitlyn's use of the Gray really interesting not only as a form of chemical warfare, but of psychological warfare too. The way she deliberately designed the strike force uniforms to work in tandem with the Gray in order to mimic the appearance of a monster from Zaunite stories with very recent presence in Zaun's recent memory (it was only during Cassandra's lifetime that the Gray was "locked away") to evoke fear in ordinary Zaunites is so so crazy to me.

And Jinx REALIZED that!! that's WHY that showdown took place in front of a carving of Janna– she's using those stories (which likely evolved alongside one another) to frame her reaction to Caitlyn's crimes as a sort of divine retribution!

Caitlyn thinks Jinx is this terrifying monster of a girl, and while it's true Jinx has done some awful things, ever since the beginning of this season (arguably since after the timeskip, even) Jinx has been working in direct response to Caitlyn and Caitlyn's actions, whether or not either of them are truly aware of it.

I think people are too obsessed with "canon" and trying to use source material to justify certain readings of the characters that were intentionally placed there by the author. You'll have characters very obviously written to be gay with so many allusions to the fact in their behavior and story themes and people will be all pissy it isn't "canon". As though having that arbitrary title slapped on will make the reading any more valid.

Like idk man I think if the writer puts a bunch of obvious gay sub text in their story, then maybe it being gay is already canon. Having the writer of the cool media you enjoy officially saying "ya its gay btw 😉" doesn't make your queer readings any more valid than they already are.

it's kind of sad to say but sometimes I think I'm not cut out for fandom. I've always been more of a lurker than a contributor anyway, but even then I feel like I might just be too much of a canon purist to really be part of them. so much of being on the internet is about curating your own experience, but fanon (mis)interpretations/characterizations are so rampant in some spaces, treated as canon to such an extent that some people literally believe they ARE, that they're often hard to avoid completely.

the point of fandom isn't supposed to be nitpicking every little thing for accuracy, obviously. I like talking with people about my favorite things, and seeing how my thoughts and interpretations match up with theirs. I don't expect everyone's experience with whatever media to be the same. but I think a lot of people view canon as something separate, as something they get to play around with and take the parts they like and change what they don't. and that's fine, but I don't really get it, not entirely. I like playing around with hypotheticals and what-ifs and stuff, but to me canon is always going to be superior/unchangeable. and it's even worse when people will try to use canon to explain that their blatantly fanon-based interpretations are, in fact, canon somehow. and it gets even WORSE when it turns into actual discourse, and suddenly people are claiming that not following their fanon interpretation means something about your real-life values.

it's just kind of exhausting sometimes. I love a lot of y'all on here and it can be so fun to be a part of things, even mostly from the sidelines. but sometimes all I want is to close social media forever and reread my novels in peace

Unlike more conventional versions of Vi, The House's Vi is actually loyal to its colony, mostly through the same general Fucked Up Situation mechanism that leads most of the Snakemouth Den symbiotes to bond so closely to the rest of their colony. This means it has the unique feature of being deeply loyal to its colony for the people that are there, and the desire to do literally anything that it can possibly do under any circumstances to help.

It's in a weird situation of having great rapid data parsing, and excellent long-range reception, but a lacking ability to perform other tasks. It also has the fun & enjoyahle feature of the desperate itch to contribute- to do something for the people who helped it, to justify its upkeep in its contributions to the hive, to do anything but sit around twiddling its thumbs - which also means it's one of the most active bugs in the colony throughout this period, thus meaning it sits in a Very Weird Intersection.

The House's Vi is not talented with mechanical work, per se. It is not the kind of programmer who has any sort of inbuilt instinct for how it's meant to work, or the kind of person who's good with organized systems. It is good at moment-to-moment parsing and decision making, which is a skillset that is incredibly niche in the mid-hibernation colony. It is Not Good at almost all of the nerd junk it's meant to do, and it is always Very Aware that it doesn't have the same touch for the nerd junk it currently does as other colony members.

It is also, at this point, the single person in the colony with the most hands-on experience, because it has worked consistently with these tools for decades by now, and this amounts for enough knowledge to overtake a lot of bugs for whom this comes more naturally.

Has SH ever picked Asheera up?

So in Asheera's younger years, probably a few times as a goof!

With 13 Strength, Shadowheart can lift Asheera based on weight, but she can't really carry her around anywhere (390lb. lift vs. 195lb. carry). So if anything, it would be a case of lifting her up, trying to wobble around, and falling into a big pile of laughter and limbs.

Asheera wouldn't really want to be carried or lifted up like that, to be honest. So it all kinda works out in the end.

As Asheera reaches an older age, Shadowheart would have to help her get around the cottage. Which she would do in a heartbeat, without question. After living so long on what would essentially be a farm at that point, Shadowheart would have a physique better suited to doing things like that.

We think Kabbu is aroace but specifically the kind of aroace where he's aware of romance and sex and all that jazz and he is in theory Totally Allo And Normal Definitely but in practice he couldn't catch someone hitting on him if they hit him with a brick to the face.

He's aware of it in theory but in practice the fact that it applies to him and people exist who could find him attractive is completely alien because internally the concepts are like oil and water and he cannot conceive the idea of him actually, like, entering a relationship with someone.
